But what actually is a skills-first network?

It’s basically a curated platform that means you meet people who will help you to change the course of your career. By connecting you with like-minded, like-skilled people, we maximise the impact each of you can have on one another. From advice and guidance to sharing experiences, you’ll have access to brilliant people who will help you grow.

Firstly, what do we even mean by skills collectives?

Rather than focusing on industry and experience, we believe that if you have the right skills for a function (or multiple functions), you should have the freedom to move from one industry to the next. Or from one role to another that shares similar skills.

That’s why we’ve introduced skills collectives to Redeployable.

It means you can mingle and connect with others who have a similar set of skills to you. This will help you to build a network that means you have the support, guidance and inspiration you need to build an incredible career.

Who are they for?

Any veteran with experience in, or looking to launch a career in a specific function.

You could be a service leaver looking for resources to help figure your sh*t out. Or you're in your first civvy role, looking for courses to upskill your CV. You could be in your mid-career, growing out your network and climbing the ladder. Or you're an expert, with a mega career, years of experience behind you, and a desire to give back; it's a space for all of you.

Essentially, it's a skills-first network of people who will help each other to grow and maximise their career potential.

Your skills, your people, your path

To help you stay focused, we recommend you join only one collective, but it’s fine to join more if your skills or aspirations spill into different areas.

These are our eight collectives and why you may belong:

➡️ Sales. A dab hand at relationship building, you’re a great manager with a strategic mind, strong negotiation skills and the drive to get deals done.

➡️ Operations. An expert in risk and stakeholder management, you have a process-driven way of thinking and are ready to translate your operational savvy into civilian success.

➡️ Engineering. A natural problem-solver and technical whiz, you have a constant thirst to learn and are keen to put your military skills to use in tackling real-world challenges.

➡️ Project and programme management. A strong communicator, strategic planner and all-around resourceful type, your military experience gives you the edge in managing risk and keeping projects on track.

➡️ Chief of staff. With the perfect military grounding, you’re a brilliant leader and influential decision-maker with top-notch interpersonal skills and the ability to handle high levels of responsibility.

➡️ Founders. With an entrepreneurial mindset and appetite for risk, you’re eager to network, share tips and help boost other members’ ventures.

➡️ People Strategy. With strong skills in team building and a strategic, forward-thinking mindset, you’re hungry to build and foster a healthy, productive workforce.

➡️ Service leavers. It’s early days and you’re keen to both give and receive guidance through these first few months and years of transitioning to civilian life.

Each collective will be managed and mentored by a collective leader, we’re dropping the over the coming weeks. These veterans have inspiring stories behind them, they’re brilliant at what they do and will foster an engaged collective.

If you want to be the first to know when we launch, then join the earlybird list now.
